Produced water treatment Effective and durable produced water treatment Environmentally safe solution - for challenging produced water The focus on the environmental impact for discharge of produced water is increasing. SemCoMem offers the simplest solution for safe treatment of produced water. The ceramic membranes provide a semi-permeable barrier that retains hydrocarbons, solids and bacteria whilst letting the water pass through. This simple way of separation makes it easy to live up to ever stricter regulations - even when facing challenging produced water, which cannot be treated by traditional gravity based technologies. Examples of produced water: • Stable chemical emulsions • Tiny droplets • Back produced polymers • Firm demands for re-injection (Oil, Solids and Bacteria) Fully automated - Low OPEX - 10 years life time membranes The SemCoMem system is fully automated and requires very little maintenance. There is no disposal cost of replaceable media and the SiC membranes have an expected life span of 10 years! Reduces BTEX, PAHs and heavy metals The 0.04μm pore sized membranes have the capability to reduce the levels of unwanted substances that are currently experiencing more focus e.g. the Norwegian DREAM model. The unwanted substances are concentrated in the reject stream which is usually around 5% of the inlet stream, as the system functions with 95% recovery. SiC membranes The patented membrane is made from 100% silicon carbide, and has the highest permeability for any membrane. Consequently, the required number of membranes, pumps, piping and valves is reduced. For the end-user this translates into less footprint and weight requirements. Furthermore, SiC has superior mechanical strength, is chemically inert and is unaffected by temperatures up to 800 °C enabling a very effective cleaning regiment. Compact and flexible design The solution has been standardized to reduce the lead time and the engineering hours needed in the design phase. Furthermore, the unit is modular to reduce the initial investment. Extra membrane trains can be added when the capacity requirements change. The flexible multi-house design and the option for changing between different membrane sizes leaves a high range of flexibility. Experienced system designers Semco Maritime has more than 30 years of experience from the oil & gas sector and designing and fabricating process equipment is one of our core businesses. Our engineering projects are completed in accordance with, among others, the following standards: • CE • ATEX • ASME • API • Norsok • Customer Specific
