Maersk Guardian - new accommodation module Design, construction and installation of turnkey accommodation module with 147 one-man rooms. The project included rebuilding of the rig, outfitting of the module, system installation and hook-up. THE PROJECT Maersk Guardian was converted from drilling rig to accommodation rig. Semco Maritime was awarded the fabrication and installation of the new accommodation module. The 147 cabin module was produced in Poland, skidded onto a barge and transported to Frederikshavn, Denmark for installation. THE SOLUTION The module and all non-standalone systems were interfaced with existing rig systems. The new accommodation module contains: • 147 single man cabins • Meeting and Recreation Rooms • Internet Café • Male and Female change rooms • Laundry • Drying Rooms Systems included in Semco delivery: • Fabrication of Steel Structures • Architectural outfitting and insulation • Plumbing incl. Drains, hot /cold water and sprinkler system • E/I incl. electrical installations, PA/GA, infotainment systems, fire and Smoke detection, fiber network. • HVAC stand-alone plant incl. AHU units • Elevator HIGHLIGHTS The complete fully installed and commissioned module was handed over to and accepted by the client one day ahead of schedule.
