HPU and wellhead control systems Semco Maritime manufactures and supplies various types of wellhead control systems to the Oil and Gas industry. We design and build several different types of wellhead control panels and wellhead control systems depending on the individual application and the customers’ exact requirement. Below is an example of the content and functionality of a typical wellhead control system. All equipment located within the panels is positioned to ensure ease of maintenance and functionality. The panels are designed for a single point lift, with pad eye placed at the steel plinth or at the panel top. Hydraulic power unit (HPU) The hydraulic power unit is designed with the layout as a walk-in panel or a closed panel Three pressure systems of high pressure (690 bar), medium pressure (413 bar) and low pressure (210 bar) with all component parts such as: pumps, pressure gauge, valve, filters, pressure safety valves, transmitters and accumulators are integrated in the unit. Accumulators can be both bladder accumulators or piston accumulators. A storage tank for the hydraulic oil with clean-up loop to extract particles and water contest from oil is placed inside the unit. All accumulators are located inside the hydraulic power unit (HPU). This eliminates the need for interface tubing between an external accumulator panel and the actual HPU. As an option a hydraulic fusible loop system can be provided. Wellhead control panel (WHCP) The wellhead control panel (WHCP) is designed as a walk-in panel. Each well is controlled by a manifold block solution including; Solenoid operating-, relief-, flow control- and isolation valves. This type of design eliminates potential faults such as leaks; and hereby results in higher operational reliability and reduced down time. All solenoid operated valves (SOV), push button and transmitters will be wired to junction boxes placed inside the WHCP.
