Business manual 1 Introduction Semco Maritime’s multi discipline activities in the market sectors; Wind, Oil & Gas, Products & Technology, Rig Projects and Power Projects all over the world make great demands to the management of internal processes and resources. At the same time increasing demands are made to the execution of projects concurrently with the technological development. Therefore, Semco Maritime has chosen to certify the internal management systems to ensure that the company processes and resources continuously match up to the increasing demands from customers and other stakeholders. Semco Maritime’s internal management system is integrated in one system, the business management system, comprising quality, working environment/safety, environment, personnel, IT, administrative procedures and corporate responsibility (CR). The business management system is a dynamic system, i.e. it is continuously developed according to the needs arising as a result of Semco Maritime’s development, regardless of the direction in which Semco Maritime develops. Therefore, Semco Maritime is able to adapt internal processes and activities to the requirements and standards of the international interested parties in our served markets. Semco Maritimes business management system complies with the international rules and regulations in all units, and identified changes are evaluated as far as extent and consequence are concerned and are registered and implemented in all units subsequently. Semco Maritime has chosen to prepare a common business manual for all business units globally. The business manual describes objectives and policies for the above areas and content, structure and follow-up of the business management system for the mentioned business units. Operational intermediate objectives are defined in Semco Maritime’s strategy plan. Objectives for each individual division are defined in the respective division step by step plans. Action plans for working environment/safety and environment are defined in the annual HSE report. Where translations exist the English version will always be the one in force. 1.1 Appendixes • A-SEMCO-0016, HSE and Q Objectives and targets (updated yearly) Note: Hard copies are considered non-controlled documents.
